FastPost AI Chrome Extension · Effective January 2025
The FastPost AI extension reads your auth session and tweet content solely to generate replies on your behalf. We do not collect, store, or sell your personal data beyond what's necessary to deliver the service.
What this extension does
FastPost AI is a Chrome browser extension that integrates with X (formerly Twitter) to help you generate AI-powered replies and posts. It injects a generation button into X's composer interface and communicates with the FastPost AI platform to produce contextually relevant replies.
Data we access
On x.com:
- Tweet text from the post you are replying to — extracted temporarily from the page DOM and sent to our API for reply generation
- Your custom instructions and tone preferences — stored locally in your browser via
chrome.storage.local
On fastpost-ai.vercel.app:
- Your Supabase authentication session token — read from browser cookies on the FastPost AI website and stored locally in
chrome.storage.localto authenticate your API requests
How your data is used
Data accessed by this extension is used exclusively to:
- Authenticate your requests to the FastPost AI API
- Generate AI-powered reply suggestions based on tweet context and your instructions
- Persist your extension preferences (toggle state, custom instructions) across browser sessions
Data storage
All extension data is stored locally on your device using Chrome's built-in chrome.storage.local API. This data never leaves your device except as part of authenticated API requests to fastpost-ai.vercel.app.
Generated replies are saved to your FastPost AI account so you can access them later from the FastPost AI dashboard.
Data we do not collect
- We do not collect your X (Twitter) username, password, or account credentials
- We do not store, log, or retain tweet content on our servers beyond the duration of the API request
- We do not track your browsing activity, reading habits, or behavior on X
- We do not sell, trade, or share your data with third parties
Third-party services
- fastpost-ai.vercel.app — the FastPost AI platform, for AI reply generation and authentication
- Supabase — used for authentication on the FastPost AI platform. Link to their privacy policy: https://supabase.com/privacy
Permissions used
